In February 2000, Premier Steve Bracks officially launched the City of Moonee Valley's Clocktower Centre, the first venue constructed according to Arts Victoria's performing arts centre benchmarking standards. The major refurbishment of the building once known as the Essendon Town Hall was both a preservation and enhancement of the proud heritage of the area and the creation of a state of the art facility for the community, the performing arts, social and corporate activities.
The Clocktower Centre is literally the cornerstone of the City of Moonee Valley's cultural life, and its pivotal location on the junction of Mount Alexander and Pascoe Vale Roads serves both the local population and that of the northwest region of Melbourne.
The Clocktower Centre presents its own vibrant and exciting annual program of theatre and performing arts, comprising Theatre Season and a Morning Music program.
The Clocktower also operates as a venue for hire - and we have all you need to make your event a huge success.
The Clocktower Centre is a 15 minute drive from Melbourne's CBD, and is conveniently located on the corner of Pascoe Vale and Mount Alexander Roads.
