Tuesday 17 August and Wednesday 18 August - at 8pm
Clocktower Centre Theatre Season 2010Part of the 2010 Subscription Season
TWELFTH NIGHT
Orsino is head over heels with Olivia; the steward is grappling with sexual frustration; the uncle is chasing the maid and generally causing trouble. Into this mayhem enter the twins one male, one female equally lovable but a little too hard to tell apart
In Lee Lewis' retelling of the play, Viola has lost her twin brother Sebastian but can't search for him until morning. How will she and her fellow survivors get through the night? They'll put on a show! Using odds and ends along with their own salvaged treasures, the characters play Twelfth Night.
This new production brings a surprising twist and a little bit of magic to Shakespeare's much-loved comedy of mistaken identity, deception and desire.
By William Shakespeare
Directed by Lee Lewis
With Brent Hill
Running time: approx 150 minutes (including 20 minute interval)
