Tap into your inner creative and apply for a space in The Writing Room

The Writing Room is open to all writers, emerging or established, and for all forms, including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, stage, digital, film and television, as well as for educational and academic writing.

The space is located in the Clocktower Centre and is available 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday. It includes access to lockers, free wifi and a small kitchen with tea and coffee facilities.

Writers will be offered one of four desks at no cost in this shared workspace for a period of up to six months. It is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside like-minded creatives.

Any work produced during this period, and subsequently published (including self-published) will be considered for purchase by the library and, subject to availability, a library space will be made available for a launch.
