These programs aim to provide a way for residents who are older or who have a disability to stay active and connected with their community.

Knit and Knatter

Have you always wanted to knit but don’t know how? Or are you clever with the knitting needles and just want to be able to have a chat while making new friends?

Come along to the Knit and Knatter classes and create knitted pieces for community projects. All materials are provided, and classes are free.

When: Tuesday, 10.30am–12.30pm

Venue: Ascot Vale Neighbourhood Centre, Corner Munro St and Union Rd, Ascot Vale

Seniors Transport Guide - travel safely and confidently

Do you want to use public transport more but you're not quite sure how it all works? Our Seniors Transport Guide (pdf, 1.2MB) (doc, 104KB) contains all the information you need to become more mobile and travel with confidence.

Hard copies of the guide are available at the Civic Centre, Moonee Valley Libraries and neighbourhood centres.

Classic movie screenings

We're screening free movies for seniors.

Screenings are held at Burley Griffin Neighbourhood Centre, Park Drive (off The Crossway), East Keilor.

Community transport services, carer support and community meals are also available upon request for a fee.
