Winter Music in the Valley - Mozart, Mendelssohn and More

3 Jun at 3.00pm

Add some warmth during the cooler winter months with some uplifting music during Winter Music in the Valley.

The delightful concert series will be run over four Sundays across winter from 3 June – 1 July and will feature a high calibre of music and vocals by talented musicians.

Experience a celebration of the orchestral world’s most revered and popular composers in this concert featuring two of the region’s leading instrumental ensembles.

The West Melbourne Schools Orchestra aims to provide young musicians a place to play high quality classical music and socialise with other like-minded students outside of the school environment.

The Essendon Symphony Orchestra is a community orchestra based in Melbourne’s Moonee Valley and performs throughout the year playing mostly classical music.

This collaboration between the two groups presents a wonderful opportunity for younger musicians to learn from and perform with more experienced players in an exciting program of classical music.

The community concert will be followed by three other concerts:

Baroque Masterpieces
Sunday, 17 June at 3pm
St George’s, Travancore

Songs of Love and War
Sunday, 24 June at 3pm
St Martin de Porres, Avondale Heights

Northern Lights
Sunday, 1 July at 3pm
St John’s Uniting Church, Essendon

All concerts in the series are free, however seating is on a first come first served basis.
